Technical characteristics

Load tests have been performed and have proven excellent performance of the slab against buckling, even improving the performance of similar systems with the same depth.

The structural behavior is similar to that of a coffered recoverable slab for large spans. Given the struts and ties diagram , the system eliminates the concrete mass that is not working to support shear, thus being able to reduce the weight and incorporate new features. The necessary armor, like in any forge, depends on the load to bear and span to cover, as it is shown in Table:

Holedeck complies with CTE-DBSI, Eurocode approved 2, of the European regulation. Its behavior is similar to that of a two-way waffle slab of recoverable moulds . Holedeck offers variations in the width of the nerves, window type and compression layer in order to achieve fire protection up to 120 minutes (according to European standards) without requiring extra protection. Holedeck complies with CTE DB-HR acoustic regulations regarding reverberation (further information can be given upon request) and acoustic insulation. This is achieved without the need of suspended ceilings. The sound insulation is enhanced by the reinforced concrete whose weight favors the application of the law of mass. Thanks to the porosity of the material and the spongy form of the resulting slab, reverberation time is reduced.
