Holedeck is fully compatible with conventional service systems, but it also developes specific solutions to achieve high perfomance service technologies, being smarter, more sustainable and easier to use, re-configure and maintain.
Adaptations and interfaces for an easier and faster set-up of common services are developed.
Also, specific products for the Plugdeck concept are being designed, which are: easy to install, easy to maintain, and with the highest standards of perfomance.
Plugdeck office aims to provide working spaces with facilitites that are optimal, functional and flexible. These solutions employ fewer components, all of which are reconfigurable and registrable. Although conventional installations are compatible, our system offers the following advantages:
- A reduction in costs, materials and CO2.
- Elimination of false ceilings.
- Fully accessible and registrable facilities. Easy reconfiguration and maintenance over the life cycle of the building.
- Healthier as it prevents the accumulation of dust and bacteria, and it is also fully cleanable.
- Energy consumption of air conditioning and lighting is optimized since it can be adjusted according to individual needs.
Energy waste and the CO2 footprint of buildings are estimated to represent up to 20% from energy consumption worldwide.
International governments and organizations, like the EU, have developed standards for energy consumption at buildings, like NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building), which will become mandatory for low energy buildings by 2020 (close to Passivhaus).
This way, Holedeck's thermal inertia, to be used for thermal radiation or as an air distribution deck, allows for the developement of thermal behavior solutions focused on improving the global indicators of the buildings.
VENTILATION WITH HEAT RECOVERY
Ventilation with heat recovery is becoming a reality in residential buildings. In addition to the energy cost savings, it also provides a reduction in allergies and other respiratory problems. This is possible thanks to the air filters and to the humidity controls. The system consists of two networks, a clean air drive in common and sleeping areas, and another stale air extraction in bathrooms and kitchens. With the slab system for housing (span reduced to 35 cm), the installation would be completely embedded in the slab, both the ducts (16 cm maximum diameter) and the heat recovery.
